TACTICS AGAINST
There are currently no effective tactics for eliminating the threat of the Warden, but there several options to delay him:
- The Warden will not enter deep water or lava. Blinking or swimming across either will delay him, and sometimes cause him to become stuck.
- The Warden cannot cross the runes created by scrolls of sanctuary. This can be used to create Warden "prisons" when he's trapped in a room where the exit is blocked by runes.
- The Warden can be dropped to the next floor by potions of descent. If the next floor is unexplored, he'll be locked in stasis like any other mob dropped to a new floor until that floor is finally visited.
- Because of his slow movement, the Warden can be navigated around in any room that has at least a 5x3 area. Having a haste charm makes this much easier, allowing for navigation around the warden in rooms as small as 3x2.
Any direct offense against the Warden will always fail, as the Warden is immune to physical attacks, runic effects, and has 100% effective reflect. Also, any of the listed methods of delaying him are only temporary solutions... the Warden will eventually return to following you.
