Ring of Light

This ring subtly enhances your vision, enabling you to see farther in the dimming light of the deeper dungeon levels. It will not make you more visible to enemies.

A ring of light will be automatically identified when you equip it; a blessed ring will reveal its bonus after 1500 turns of wear. A +1 ring increases vision range by 8 spaces.

Tactically, the ring of light lets you see things in time to avoid them or throw/apply items to kill them at a distance.
