This legendary bird shines with a brilliant light, and its wings crackle and pop like embers as they beat the air. When it dies, legend has it that an egg will form and a newborn phoenix will rise from its ashes. |
The phoenix is a legendary monster. It is never generated randomly. Like other legendary monsters, tame phoenixes can be generated by placing an orb on an altar.
When a phoenix dies, it is replaced by a helpless phoenix egg. After several turns, the egg will hatch and a new phoenix will be born, similar to a lich and its phylactery. Defeating the egg will prevent the phoenix's rebirth.
Phoenix isn’t particularly strong and its intrinsic light makes stealth difficult. If someone destroys the egg, don’t miss it!
